Romanians now celebrate a century of unity, after having experienced, until 1918, ”a millennium of solitude”, often under the authority of hostile empires.

The year 1918 constituted the ”celestial hour” of the Romanian nation, the greatest accomplishment in its history, the unification of all historical regions with ethnic Romanian majority into one country.

The Paris Peace Conference (1919-1920) merely confirmed the decision made by the Romanians, to unite Bessarabia, Bucovina and Transylvania with Romania, proving that this decision was legitimate and in compliance with the peoples’ right to self-determination.
