I have been thinking a lot about what I could write, without hypocrisy, about the 100th anniversary of the Great Union but, unfortunately, frustrations would not leave too much room for celebration. From the 100 years, if we subtract the period 1947-1990 (but neither is the interval 90 until now one to be organically added), we actually get only 29 years, during which Romania was bursting with energy and fully enjoyed the fruitage of 1918. The rest is all about drama, atrocities, humiliation, intellectual mass killing, and then selfishness, lie, corruption and manipulation.
