The only force which can support us in the future originates in the unification of all Romanians – this was the imperative of the moment in 1918.
Strong solidarity connections of all Romanian energies were established among the political leaders of Transylvania and those of Romania, in order to make the country whole again.
The national sovereignty and independence were then consecrated in the Great National Assembly of Alba Iulia. This unity of the left-wing and right-wing forces, of the Orthodox Church and of the Greek Catholic one, of the young and enthusiastic generation, but also of the generation on the ramparts of nationalism, would be the most significant accomplishment passed to us by the 1st of December and which should be retrieved for the today democratic Romania.
