There was a time when I would travel the world in search of my spiritual identity. I was going to find out that the amazing Megalithic site of Stonehenge reminded me of the mystery of the hills not far from my grandparents’ village where I spent my childhood, somewhere near Cucuteni, and Trajan’s Column would not have been the same without Decebal’s image. I chatted with Queen Elizabeth I of England in front of her tombstone, and I asked her if her messengers had sent her news of the deeds of Michael the Brave. I was also going to find out that the selenic landscape in the Death Valley had a pair in my heart in the Muddy Volcanoes, and that the majesty of the Grand Canyon was so familiar to me from the time I used to walk along the paths of Piatra Craiului massif. It was then that I realized how deeply I missed Romania… At that time, I did also realize that my rediscovered spiritual identity had its roots, here, in Romania.
