Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu: Romania has found its way to modernization owing to the sacrifices made by all Romanians

Looking back at the past century, we can better understand the destiny of the Romanian people, both difficult and indisputably exceptional, accomplished through the Romanians’ ardent love for the country, by their unswerving faith in the fate that awaited them, and through their constant effort to fight for the fulfilment of their national ideals and democratic values. Today, Romania has found its way to modernization owing to the sacrifices made by all Romanians and that is why we should look towards the future with more confidence, but also with responsibility.
