Victor Opaschi: The lesson of this historical moment is precisely that of unity
The Great Union of 1918 was, and it still is, the most expected and treasured event in the Romanian history, that was achieved through great pains and tremendous sacrifices.
The lesson of this historical moment is precisely that of unity, of the strength that Romanians acquire when, overcoming social and confessional borders, work together as one. Churches and religions have played an essential role in the achievement of this ideal of the union of all Romanians, endeavouring together, now as they did back then, for the edification of our common, free and democratic future of a united Romania.
